2034 The New Season Starts
by DavesGang
Lets start the season by taking a look back. A number of iconic players retired during this off season. Here are a few thoughts about some that caught my eye.
Alex Porter stepped into the void left by the Grossman trade and succeeded where many others would have been perpetually overshadowed. He not only continued Minnesota's winning ways, but helped bring the Vikings to 2 Super Bowl victories in his 15 seasons. Won Legend of the Game awards and will get a chance at the Hall of Fame soon.
Other noteworthy player's (each deserve a individual write up) include...
The overachieving Orlando Kappe, Mighty Marcus Baker, Big yardage Bryan Banks, Comparison study Donald Withrow, WR elite Hunter Armstrong, Kelvin Brennen, My first pick ever Jayson Lee, Sack monster Clarence Hudson, Max Medina, Oscar Tyler, Percy Pierce, Speedy Darren Bling, out of position Taylor Kearsey, 1 sack Melvin Setzer, No combine Sherman Banks, interesting case of Jasonn Dawkins, 7th round safety who played 11 seasons Damon Rogalle, Pat Flowers, Brett "Mc5" McKnight. Just glancing down the list I'm reminded of stories about each of these players. Perhaps the GM's that had these players on their squads will share some about these histories.
